Craig Todd Hudson

Craig was born on November 5, 1942 in Anaconda, Montana. In 1946, his family moved to the Seattle, WA area where his father was discharged from the military. He attended Roosevelt High School, served in the US Marines and then began working for the Boeing Company in the early 1960s. He spent his entire career at Boeing serving as a Customer Service Representative for foreign airlines including Qantas and United Air Emirates, which allowed him to be a world traveler for most of his life. During his years of retirement, he spent half the year enjoying the beaches of Maui, HI and his friends there. The balance of the year he spent at his home in Kirkland, WA and at the "Hudson House" cabin on West Beach, Orcas Island. Beginning in the 1950's, the Hudson family had enjoyed a week every year on Orcas and Craig continued the tradition for the next 50 years. Visitors to Orcas came to know the unofficial Mayor of West Beach and his signature tiki torches, cold root beer and ice cream treats. Craig lost his hard fought battle with cancer on December 13, 2012. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry; his mother, Jojo; and his brother, Robert. He leaves his sister, JeriKay Fraser; her son, Kevin; and her daughter, Kimberly Fraser Kacker; sister-in-law, Tessa Hudson; her daughter, Nichole Hudson; and sons, Shayne Hudson and Andrew Hudson. A Memorial Service will be held at Lake Hill Baptist Church in Bellevue , WA on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Craig asked that donations be made to either Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research or Seattle Cancer Care Alliance for prostate cancer research.
