  Services for William A. Bauer were
held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14,
1981 at the St. Louis Catholic Church
in Foreston with Father Bernard
Mischke officiating. Interment was in
the church cemetery.

  William A. Bauer was born on Dec.
Dec 17, 1909 to Alphonse and Anna Bauer
in Aberdeen, South Dakota. At the age
of four he moved with his family to a
farm east of Milaca. In 1915 the family
moved to Granite Ledge township
where William attended Wildwood
School District 46. He grew to
manhood here and was united in
marriage to Margaret Kunst in 1938 in
Foreston. William has farmed all of his life
on the family farm and served on
the town board for 21 years. He was a
member of the St. Louis Catholic
Church and served on the trustee
board and was a member of the Holy
Name Society. William also served on
the school board. William died at his
home on Saturday, Oct. 10, 1981 at the
age of 71 year, nine months and 23 days.

  William is survived by his wife
Margaret: seven daughters, Mrs. John
(Mary Ann) Muller of Barron., Wisc.:
Mrs. Roger (Margaret) Leuthner of
Victoria, Minn.: Mrs. Dean (Anne)
Austad of St. Louis Park, Minn.: Mrs.
Dennis (Patricia) Johnson of Hamburg, Minn.:
Mrs. Peter (Katheryn) Johnson of Cloquet, Minn.:
Miss Dolores Bauer of Albuerque, New Mexico:
Miss Donna Bauer of Minneapolis, Minn.: six
sons, William Bauer of St. Paul, Edward Bauer of
Foreston: Don Bauer of Albuerque, New Mexico, Henry
Bauer of Burnsvillle, Minn.: Harold of Milaca:
Robert Bauer of Foley and 32 grandchildren.

  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by
a sister.

  Funeral arrangements were with the Peterson Johnson
Funeral Home in Milaca.
